Ken Rossal
Ken is a native of the upper Midwest and spent over thirty years in the printing and publishing industry, where he worked as a prepress tech, a typesetter, and a copy editor. He is also a Vietnam veteran and has traveled throughout Europe, Asia, and the Pacific Islands. After living in Australia for twelve years, he returned to the States and settled in Chicago.
Ken began writing while living in Australia. He started out as a contributing writer and editor to several magazines before he branched out into novel-length fiction. His earliest work was a series of humorous mystery/crime books that included The Francine Follies, Ben's Island of Death, and Memorial Day. Upon his return to the States, he set his focus on creating original pieces of upbeat and entertaining fiction for the American market.
Currently, Ken drives a semi for a living-a job that provides him with time to mentally outline writing projects while he is wheeling around the Midwest. When off the road, he lives at his home near Chicago with his wife, their dog Bud, and their two cats, Sissy and Sara. Ken's interests and hobbies are widely varied, but his mainstays are playing in poker tournaments, checking out new restaurants, watching classic films, and hammering out Chopin, Bach, and Liszt on the piano.
Ken's personal philosophy stems from T.S. Eliot: "We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time."
